Health Worker Migration Initiative
The unique partnership between Realizing Rights, the World Health Organization and the Global Health Workforce Alliance aims to develop innovative policy solutions to addresses the growing global problem of inequitable health care access due to health worker migration. This collaboration called the Health Worker Migration (HWM) Initiative consists of two strategic entities working closely together to assemble state of the art information and recommendations regarding such migration.

Which companies are committed to human rights?
A growing number of major companies have made a public commitment to human rights as part of their corporate responsibility initiatives. But the vast majority of companies around the world have not taken this important step. Realizing Rights and the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre are joining together to encourage more companies to adopt human rights policies, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights during 2008.

Human Rights and HIV&AIDS - Now more than ever
Activists and people affected by HIV and AIDS joined a global rally for human rights during the 2008 International AIDS Conference in Mexico City on August 7th. Organized by the Open Society Institute and HIV and human rights organizations from around the world, participants rallied to express support for populations at high risk for HIV, and for vastly greater attention to human rights in the response to HIV.
